Due to many years of cooperation with the association Gemeinschaft für Qualitätsüberwachung von Polymerbitumen- und Bitumenbahnen e.V. (GPB) we offer a comprehensive range of services to manufacturers of polymer-bitumen and bitumen sheets.

This particularly involves quality assurance tests in relation to the production of polymer-bitumen and bitumen sheets in accordance with the quality criteria of Gemeinschaft für Qualitätsüberwachung von Polymerbitumen- und Bitumenbahnen e.V. (GPB)

The testing services that HFB offers for polymer-bitumen and bitumen sheets include:

Tests on the basis of DIN EN 13707 (Flexible sheets for waterproofing - Reinforced bitumen sheets for roof waterproofing - definitions and characteristics) and the European testing standards it contains:

  • Determination of length, width and straightness in accordance with DIN EN
  • 1848-1,
  • Determination of thickness and mass per unit area in accordance with DIN EN 1849-1,
  • Determination of visible defects in accordance with DIN EN 1850-1,
  • Determination of dimensional stability in accordance with DIN EN 1107-1,
  • Determination of form stability under cyclical temperature changes in accordance with DIN EN 1108,
  • Determination of flexibility at low temperature in accordance with DIN EN 1109,
  • Determination of flow resistance at elevated temperature in accordance with DIN EN 1110,
  • Method of artificial ageing by long term exposure to elevated temperature in accordance with DIN EN 1296,
  • Method of artificial ageing by long term exposure to the combination of UV radiation, elevated temperature and water in accordance with DIN EN 1297,
  • Determination of watertightness (methods A and B) in accordance with DIN EN 1928,
